Mark Huffman
Director of Client Services After a career as a Christian pastor, Mark entered the field of Social Work because he wanted to be an advocate for social justice and directly engage the effects of poverty, inequality, and racism. Having supported and worked with organizations like LARS - that were founded by people of faith to do just that - he is very excited to now be a part of one. Mark received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore specializing in community action and social policy as well as clinical work. He is the father of three grown daughters and wants them to know they are each his favorite, in their own way. As Director of Client Services, Mark will oversee LARS programs, assist with grants, and be involved in outreach to local government, businesses, community groups, and faith-based organizations. In those capacities he looks forward to supporting LARS leadership and staff, so that as an organization and a community we can continue to sustain and grow our vision of a world “that treats all people with dignity and helps everyone meet their basic needs.” |
