Part-time Social Worker

Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services, Inc. (LARS) is seeking a part-time social worker (24-30 hours per week) to startup, implement, and monitor our newly grant funded Rapid Re-Housing Program, and to provide case management and support services in our emergency clinic. The Rapid Re-Housing Program will serve individuals and families who have experienced a life changing event that suddenly, and dramatically, impacts their ability to maintain housing and to meet other basic needs. The services offered by LARS will assist clients with stipends to secure or maintain housing, and provide case management and other support services.

Applicants should have a minimum of a BSW and be licensed, or license eligible, in the State of Maryland. Other professionals with degrees in human service fields and adequate experience serving populations who are homeless, or who suffer from mental illness and/or addictions, may also be considered. Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required. Work days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with evenings required on Monday's (or Wednesday if a holiday falls on a Monday).
